David Firman is an orchestral conductor, TV and theatre musical director, composer and arranger. He began his career conducting West End shows before developing his profile as a session player, and going on to become a film and TV arranger and conductor. He is a continuing presence on the concert platform with international orchestras and has a growing portfolio of commissions as a composer in his own right.

A new specialism is conducting symphonic film soundtracks live to picture. David conducted the world premiere of “Frozen – live in Concert” and the European premiere of “Beauty and the Beast” at the Royal Albert Hall, along with live performances of all three “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, the classic Disney animation “Fantasia”, “Amadeus”, “Casino Royale”, “Star Wars”, and the romantic epic “Titanic”.

David was honoured to conduct the recent Danish premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s MASS on the centenary of the composer’s birth.

He was equally proud to conduct the Ukrainian National Anthem recently at the Royal Albert Hall (click here)
